Investment in Youth Engagement (IYE)

The Investment in Youth Engagement (IYE) Initiative was established by Toronto Public Health (TPH) to support youth engagement work in Toronto communities and provide funding to support community health promotion projects. It is intended to motivate and create opportunities for youth to develop their leadership skills and engage in and act on health issues within Toronto. This initiative is youth driven, which means that youth are involved in all aspects of the application process, project planning and implementation.

 

PurposeĀ 

The Investment in Youth Engagement Initiative is intended to motivate and create opportunities for youth to develop their leadership skills and engage in and act on health issues within Toronto.

 

ScopeĀ 

The primary focus of the Investment in Youth Engagement Initiative is tobacco use prevention. Secondary project components can include, but are not limited to: physical activity, sports and recreation, healthy eating, mental health promotion, substance and alcohol misuse and injury prevention.
